How to mix 3 prints. Ft. Isabel Marant

Monday, 16th November 2015

As in my first post, I´m again talking about mixing prints. Some people think you shouldn´t mix prints but I think If done properly, mixing prints can really make you stand out and look gorgeous! I chose three Isabel Marant pieces that I think would look great together. The black and off-white cotton-wool blend chevron pattern coat has a simple print that goes well with the other prints. The stretch-cotton denim pants are the stand out piece without being too extravagant. The brown silk and cotton blend embroidered top is a really cute bohemian piece. These three paired with a simple pair of black boots and a black bag would make a great bohemian everyday outfit. You could wear this outfit from fall to winter.

When mixing different prints you should consider the following facts:
1. Choose the prints from similar color palette
2. Pick colors that compliment your skin tone
3. Trust your eyes!

The last one is really important. If you think the prints look good together, they probably do. 🙂

What do you think about mixing prints? How many prints is the maximum you should combine in one outfit? I´d love to hear your thoughts so please comment.

I love mixing prints. If you get it right, it looks great! I love how you superimposed the pieces onto yourself in the photos. It looks really cool & I think you chose some great pieces for the clashing prints.
